Solon High School, founded in 1898, is a public high school in Solon, Ohio, USA, north of Cleveland, Ohio.

The Solon City School District, which includes Orchard Park High School and City of Cleveland Public Schools, includes grades 9-12 and includes the city's two high schools, Solons High and Obstplants Middle School. SolON's athletic rivals include Cleveland State University, Cleveland City College and Mayfield Heights High Schools. In 2003 and 2008, she finished second in the Ohio State Junior College Science Olympics and first in 2009, winning the most consecutive victories (3). In 2003, 2008 and 2010, she finished third and second. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Solon High School finished second in its class.

As a result of her accomplishments, she received praise from the Ohio State Legislature and twice attended the White House science fair.

Based on this recommendation, Solon Schools has decided to open the school year with a full-fledged football, basketball and softball program. Also Monday, August 10, Bolden read out a recommendation from the Ohio State Board of Education that would allow high school athletics to continue into the fall. A parent's letter, written in the journal, noted that this appears to continue to allow Solons High School students to play sports, fall sports and participate in extracurricular activities.

The health board also recommended suspending extracurricular activities during distance learning. A number of parents in the school district have called on the school board and Bolden to reverse their decision so their children can participate in fall sports and extra-curricular activities. Glavin added: "We want to have a sporting event but it has to be the right time and the right circumstances. PPE, which will help our children participate with their chosen activities.

McQuaide was 21-of-31 for 207 yards and three scores and rushed for two scores in the first half, while McCurry was 12-for-14 for 137 yards with a pair of scores. Solon was led at halftime by McQuaide, who was 14-of-21 with 206 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and McC Curry was the biggest playmaker of the night, scoring four of his seven goals for 66 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown pass to put Solon up 19-14.

The Blue Devils were led by quarterback Jacob Scherette, who threw for 85 yards and three scores and went 7-for-16 while Solon focused on stopping Brunswick's passing game. The Blue Devil struck first in the second half when Scherettes recovered a 29-yard touchdown pass from McQuaide for a 29-19 lead with the extra point of the game.

A run by Eichelberger put the Comets within striking distance, but Scherette pulled away from 21 yards and converted the two-point toss to make it 22-19. Then, two plays later, McQuaide took it out of a yard and converted for 6-0. He was then taken to the Blue Devils' 20-yard line on third-and-goal from the one-yard line.
